Monthly Update: Mobile VR Optimization, Seamless Subscriptions, & Road to Lisbon

Summer at vron.one was about refine, optimize, and streamline. Over the past month, product and engineering focused on overhauling the mobile 3D experience, tightening media handling, and polishing core platform capabilities.
Mobile VR tooling overhaul
Spatial 3D on smaller screens needs friction-free navigation. This release rebuilds the mobile VR interface:
- Streamlined controls: Compact headers, dynamic collapse controls, and unified tooltips for 2D/3D interactions.
- Smarter movement: Default mobile navigation is now precise teleportation instead of free-walking, which improves comfort and accuracy in tight spaces.
- Integrated transformations: Object rotation sits inside snapping controls so we can drop extra panels and keep screen real estate for the world.
Smart media and asset optimization
High-resolution 3D worlds still need fast 2D previews and texture delivery:
- Custom thumbnails and duplication: Set custom media thumbnails on products, and keep media references when you duplicate catalog items (#7, #69).
- Visual optimization indicators: Clear UI flags for optimized images (#74).
- More 3D formats: Expanded GLTF support alongside native GLB (#79).
Flexible subscription lifecycles and admin control
We widened how merchants manage subscriptions:
- Self-service downgrades: Automated downgrade workflows across the API, Merchant Portal, and VR viewer (#47).
- Hard-deletion foundations: Structured
deletionDatemodels for user data and asset storage (#82), so administrators can control tenant storage footprints more cleanly.
Looking ahead: Web Summit 2026, Lisbon
We have started final preparations for Web Summit 2026 in Lisbon. The last polish is going into the upcoming iOS room-scanning app—capture a physical space into an interactive 3D GLB in minutes.
Stay tuned.
